"Hide-Away Stud Bottle Baby Care"

We take the babies from their mums around 4 to 7 days old and they are put in a warm secure housing area.
They have a 44 gallon drum with carpet and hay in it as they love to feel hidden and secure even though they are totally under cover.

They stay in this small area for a few days to get them drinking their bottles.

Then I open the door and they have access to approx  6m x 4m undercover area plus the same outside.
Babies need the sun for their growth and bone strength.

They have a pvc pipe on the fence for their food.

When they are drinking well, usually around 10 days, I then take them every morning to the outside paddock which is approx 1/2 acre dog wired then chicken wired so they cannot get out.

This is a steep and rocky paddock which builds strong muscles and bones.They have fresh water and diced up fruit and veges with grain mix,as well as lucerne hay at all times.

They also have their 44 gallon drums for if it rains during the day.

They are returned to the shed every night.

With this attention my babies grow fast and healthy so when they leave home they do not stress at being moved or handled.

All our babies are disbudded and wormed before they leave home.

When our babies leave home they go with a folder of care information plus their bottle and some of our milk powder to mix with whichever milk powder you will be using.
